Copyright policy

Vicinto respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the community to do the same. Content on Vicinto (game listings, facility photos, profiles) is posted by users, and we respond to copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Reporting infringement (DMCA notice)

If you believe content on Vicinto infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our copyright agent that includes all of the following:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (or a representative list, if the notice covers multiple works).
2. Identification of the infringing material and enough information for us to locate it (a link to the game, listing or profile works well).
3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send notices to: support@vicinto.com (with "Copyright" in the subject). We review complete notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing material when appropriate.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), so please only file a notice if you actually hold (or represent the holder of) the rights.

If your content was removed (counter-notice)

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; your name, address, and phone number; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Vicinto may be found); and your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we'll forward it to the original complainant. Unless they notify us within 10 to 14 business days that they've filed a court action, we may restore the removed content.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers, and we may remove content or suspend accounts after a single clear infringement where appropriate.

Quick reports

Anyone can also email support@vicinto.com with "Safety" in the subject and a link to the game, listing or profile. Quick reports help us act fast, but a formal DMCA notice (above) is the legal mechanism and gets a guaranteed response.
