Welcome to Vicinto. By creating an account you agree to these terms. The short version: be a real person, show up in good faith, don't make anyone feel unsafe.
Vicinto is a live map of events — who's going, how far it is, tickets, guest lists, and the chats around them. We provide the platform; the events are yours. Vicinto is for adults (18+). Features may change as the product evolves, especially during the pilot.
One account per person, representing yourself. You must be 18 or older. You're responsible for activity on your account.
No harassment, stalking, hate, or threats. No using the map to track, follow, or contact people who've made clear they're not interested. No spam or mass solicitation. No impersonation. Events you post must be real. We can suspend or remove accounts that make the community feel unsafe — that judgment is ours, and we'll use it.
You meet people from the internet at your own judgment. Meet in public places. Vicinto shows approximate locations only, but you are responsible for what you choose to share in your profile, messages, and events.
You own what you post, including photos and images you upload to chats. You grant us the license needed to display it within the service (that's all we use it for). Don't post content or media you don't have the rights to, and don't share others' private information.
Profiles and events can be shared by link. When your profile is set to visible, anyone with your profile link — including people without a Vicinto account — can view it, and shared links show a preview (name, bio, photo, or event details) in messaging apps. Turn your visibility off to be excluded from shared-link viewing.
Group creators and event hosts can assign role badges (such as Promoter, Support, Mod, or VIP) to members of their chat. Badges are labels chosen by that chat's owner, visible to the chat's members; they don't grant special permissions, and they don't represent employment by, or endorsement from, Vicinto. Owners can add or remove badges at any time.
Vicinto hosts content created by its members and is not responsible for member-generated content. If you believe content on Vicinto infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to copyright@vicinto.com — our Copyright Policy lists exactly what to include, plus the counter-notice process. We remove infringing material promptly and terminate repeat infringers' accounts. To report abuse, harassment, or unsafe content, use the in-app report option or email safety@vicinto.com.
Vicinto Pro and add-ons like event boosts are digital purchases billed through the app store you installed Vicinto from — on iOS, Apple In-App Purchase. Pricing and inclusions are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled, and your payment method is charged at the start of each period. You can cancel anytime in your app-store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. Refunds for app-store purchases are handled under that store's policies (for example, through Apple). Some plan perks are visible to other members — for example the Pro badge and a featured map pin — and end when your subscription ends. Perks affect display and features only; they don't guarantee friends, attendance, or any specific result.
Vicinto provides a ticketing platform for in-person, real-world events. When you buy a ticket, the event organizer is the seller and is solely responsible for the event — including hosting it, honoring the ticket, and delivering what was advertised. Vicinto is not the event provider and is not responsible for an organizer's event.
Ticket payments are processed by Stripe and are paid directly to the organizer's own Stripe account — Vicinto never holds or controls ticket funds. The ticket price is set by the organizer, and Vicinto adds a service fee shown at checkout before you pay. Each ticket includes a unique QR code for entry, which can only be checked in once — don't share screenshots of your ticket. You can add your ticket to Apple Wallet for convenience; the Wallet pass is the same ticket and remains subject to these terms and the organizer's policies.
Refunds and cancellations. Refunds are governed by the organizer's stated policy and by applicable law, and are issued by the organizer from the organizer's funds. If an event is cancelled, changed, postponed, or not delivered as described, the organizer — not Vicinto — is solely responsible for refunding buyers. Because ticket funds go directly to the organizer, Vicinto has no ability to issue refunds on an organizer's behalf and has no obligation to do so. Vicinto's service fee covers platform costs and is non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Payment disputes and chargebacks on ticket purchases are between the buyer, the organizer, and the payment processor, and are borne by the organizer. If you sell tickets as an organizer, you must have the right to host the event, onboard to and comply with Stripe's connected-account terms, deliver the event as described, handle your own taxes, and process valid refund requests — including refunding all buyers if you cancel. You are responsible for chargebacks and disputes on your ticket sales, and you agree to indemnify Vicinto against claims arising from your event, including its cancellation. You authorize Vicinto to deduct its service fee from ticket sales. Repeated failure to refund cancelled events may result in removal from the platform.
Hosts can purchase optional promotion for an event — a Boost (a more prominent map pin and higher placement in the events feed for a limited period). Promotion is a per-event digital purchase, billed separately from any subscription, at the price shown before you buy. Promotion affects placement and visibility only — it does not guarantee attendance, clicks, ticket sales, or any specific result, and a promoted event must still comply with these terms. Because promotion is delivered as soon as it goes live, it is generally non-refundableexcept where required by law; if we remove an event for violating these terms, related promotion fees are not refunded. Vicinto may label promoted content (for example, a "Sponsored" tag) and may decline or remove promotion at its discretion.
Vicinto lists events and sells tickets on behalf of hosts. We are not the organiser, promoter, venue or host of any event, we do not inspect venues or vet attendees, and we are not present at events. A ticket or RSVP is permission from the host to attend — nothing more.
Hosts are solely responsible for their event: the venue and its condition, capacity and crowd safety, security, noise, permits, insurance, taxes, and compliance with every applicable law — including alcohol laws, local ordinances and, where the event is at a private residence, the rules of that property. If you host, you confirm you have the right to hold the event where you say it is.
No alcohol is sold through Vicinto. Vicinto does not sell, supply, serve or licence alcohol, and a ticket price never includes it. Any alcohol at an event is entirely a matter between the host and their guests, subject to state and local law.
Attendees come to events at their own risk. Vicinto is 18+. Follow the host's rules and the law, look after yourself and the people you came with, and leave if something feels wrong. Report anything unsafe from the event page or to support@vicinto.com.
Vicinto is provided "as is" during the pilot. We're not liable for interactions between members, events hosted by members, or indirect damages, to the maximum extent permitted by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the exclusive venue for any dispute not subject to arbitration is the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
Please read this carefully — it affects your legal rights. Except where prohibited by law, you and Vicinto agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and you and Vicinto waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of creating your account by emailing legal@vicinto.com. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking relief in small-claims court.
Vicinto sends transactional text messages: your entry pass link after a ticket purchase or guest-list addition, and one-time sign-in verification codes. You opt in by providing your phone number at checkout, at the door, or at sign-in. Message frequency varies with your activity (typically one message per transaction) — this is not a recurring subscription. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help, or contact hello@vicinto.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
