Getting started
What is Vicinto?
Every basketball, soccer, tennis and pickleball court in the biggest US cities on one map, with pickup games and tournaments on top. Free to find a court, free to post a game.
Which cities?
Greater Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Washington DC, South Florida, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, Bay Area, Phoenix, Seattle, San Diego, Denver, Austin and Las Vegas today. More are on the way; the city menu at the top of the map lists them.
How old do you have to be?
13 and up. Some features turn on at 18: direct messages and charging for games. Your birthday is asked once after sign-in and stays private.
Do I need an account?
Not for the map: every court is there signed out. Games and tournaments need an account, because hosts need to know who is coming. Sign in to see them, join or post. A game or tournament link someone shares with you opens without one.
Courts
What is on the map?
Every basketball, soccer, tennis and pickleball court we know of in the cities on the map: public parks, rec centers, schools and private facilities. Listings come from OpenStreetMap and public agency pages, plus what verified facilities add. Greater Los Angeles was also checked against the county parks inventory.
A court is missing or wrong.
Email support@vicinto.com with the listing name and what is off. Court data is open data, so corrections also help everyone else.
What does the access line mean?
Public means anyone can walk on. Reservation required means the agency wants a reservation or permit for organized play. Members only and Private are what they say. School grounds are open when the school says so. Access not confirmed means the data did not say.
How do I book a court?
Public parks link out to the agency's booking page or phone number when we have one. Private facilities that claimed their listing add their own booking link. Vicinto does not take court bookings itself yet.
Games
How do I join a game?
Open the game and tap I'm in. Free games take your spot right away. If the host charges, you pay through Stripe and your spot shows on the page within a few seconds.
How do I post a game?
Tap Post a game on the Games page, or Post a game here on any court. Pick the sport, where, when, how many players, skill level. Free, about a minute.
What does it cost?
Finding courts and posting games is free. If a host charges to join, the price you see is the price you pay. It already includes Vicinto's service fee (8% of the host's price plus $0.79, card processing included), and nothing is added at checkout.
I paid. Where is my spot?
It shows on the game page within a few seconds of paying. If a minute passes and nothing shows, email support@vicinto.com and we will make it right.
Refunds
Spots are sold by the host. If a host cancels, everyone who paid is refunded in full automatically, Vicinto's fee included; banks take 5 to 10 days to show it. For anything else, ask the host, or email support@vicinto.com.
Leaving a game
Open the game and tap Leave game. Your spot opens up for someone else. A paid spot is refunded by the host, not by leaving.
Hosting
Charging to join
Turn on Charge to join when you post. You need to be 18 or older and have payouts set up with Stripe, once, under Profile, then Payouts and host tools. Money goes straight to your Stripe account.
Permits at public courts
If you charge players at a public park or court, any permit, reservation or insurance the owner requires is on you. Vicinto does not check permits and is not a party to your booking. The city or county's booking page is linked on the listing when we have it.
Cancelling a game
Open your game, tap Cancel game and confirm. Everyone who joined is told, and anyone who paid is refunded in full automatically from your Stripe balance.
Tournaments
How do tournaments work?
Tap Host a tournament on the Tournaments page to run one, free or with an entry fee. Captains register a team. The organizer builds the bracket and enters the scores, and the bracket updates for everyone.
Entry fees and prizes
Entry is free unless the organizer sets a fee per team. The captain pays through Stripe, the price shown already includes the service fee, and the money goes to the organizer's Stripe account. The organizer states any prize and pays it. Vicinto runs the sign-up and the bracket and is not a party to the prize. Entries with a fee are for players 18 and over.
A tournament was cancelled
Every paid entry is refunded in full automatically when the organizer cancels. If it has not reached your card after 10 days, email support@vicinto.com.
Facilities
Claiming a facility
Private facilities and rec centers can be claimed free. Find yours by name on the Claim your facility page, or open the listing and tap Claim this facility. We text or call the number on the listing, or email an address on its domain, and you enter the code. About a minute. Parks belong to the city or county and cannot be claimed.
What a verified facility can do
Add a cover photo and gallery, a description, hours, contact details and a booking link. Games posted at your facility show on your page.
Account and safety
Why do you ask my date of birth?
Vicinto is for people 13 and older, and some features turn on at 18: direct messages and charging for games. Your birthdate is asked once and never shown to anyone.
Reporting someone
Email support@vicinto.com with "Safety" in the subject, the game or profile link and what happened. Reports are confidential and read within 24 hours.
Delete my account
Profile, Settings, then Delete account. It permanently removes your profile, games, joins, spots and photos. See the Privacy Policy for the narrow exceptions.
